Validation:
Ensure that our product meets the customers requirements
Validation of technical documentation
Validation of the test coverage and the fulfilment of coding rules
Specification and execution of validation tests
Evaluation of the operational impact of solved and unsolved defects
Validation of the adherence to the relevant norms
Responsible for the validation reports that summarizes the validation results
RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety):
Creation of Hazard Analysis and maintenance of Hazard log
Safety analysis and Safety management of Thales products
Responsible for Safety Cases according to norms
Support development organisation in terms of safety questions, coach development teams throughout the complete product lifecycle
Education:
Technical study of computer science, transportation, mathematics, physics or similar;
Preferred project experience:
Experience with safety relevant systems
Knowledge of functional safety standards like (preferred CENELEC)
Experiences in Software Development and/or System Engineering
Experience in Railway Application Development is a plus.
Programming languages:
C/C++ (ability to read source code)
Optional: XML (ability to read)
Preferred tools and methods:
Verification, validation or safety management of software applications
ClearCase for Configuration Management
ClearQuest for Defect and Change Management
DOORS for Requirement Management & Safety Application Condition Handling

Intercultural communication, including empathy to work in an international team
Availability to travel abroad, to Germany, from time to time for a longer period, needed for initial training
Languages:
English (very good reading and writing)
