Upstream is seeking to employ a Country Manager whose role will be to establish and expand the company¿s presence in Romania. Candidates will be able to demonstrate a very good understanding of technology and a solid management experience with an exemplary success track record delivering strategic sales. They will need to be hands on, with proven leadership skills.
We particularly welcome applications from candidates who understand the Mobile Operator marketplace combined with a good knowledge of digital media and marketing. Local work experience and network will be highly appreciated.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Preparation and implementation of country budget, strategy, business plan and business management
- Hiring, developing and managing a team of account/project managers
- Management of daily operations and planning of the use of resources
- Proactive engagement in sales and new business development
- Initiating new deals and partnerships locally (including contract negotiations with local operators)
- Identifying sources of leads in the wider region
- Owning the country¿s revenue and profit objectives
- Delivering ongoing growth
- Graduate degree in business administration or engineering.
- 10 years of work experience in the technology sector, including 5 years with additional management responsibilities combined with excellent local market knowledge.
- Analytical, conceptual, strategic and planning abilities.
- Self motivated, convincing personality, natural authority.
- Management skills, process & people management.
- Attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Performance and bottom-line orientation.
- Good communicator, both internally and externally - excellent presentation skills.
- Fluency in English and Romanian - other languages a plus.
