You will be required to act as the technical authority for Reservoir activities, providing expertise in the following areas:
1 Reservoir Engineering
2 Simulation
3 Technical Management
4 Production optimisation
5 Reservoir Modelling
6 Geosciences
Typical work activities include:
1. Estimating the potential of a reservoir in order to determine its value and likely investment required;
2. Simulating fluid flow (running computer models that simulate fluid flow through the field over time);
3. Analysing the properties of fluid to predict fluid behaviour and various physical effects, and investigate gas cycling schemes;
4. Liaising with laboratories to get oil and water measurements;
5. Identifying in-fill well locations to maintain oil rate;
6. Investigating enhanced oil recovery options, e.g. by using water injection;
7. Providing economic data to evaluate various aspects of commercial potential;
8. Working closely with operational staff, and with other professionals, such as geologists, geophysicists and petrophysicists;
9. Presenting and selling their recommendations to decision-makers inside and outside the business
10. Assume reservoir engineering responsibilities for one or more areas
1. Degree Educated in a Relevant Discipline
2. 7+ Years Experience in Reservoir Engineering - Some or all with an Operator
3. International Exposure
4. Outstanding Written & Verbal Skills
5. Ability to Work Effectively in Cross-Functional Teams
