RESPONSABILITATI

Responsible for creating Product/System Safety Cases according to the CENELEC (EN) Standards, which include planning of RAMS, performing RAMS activities and analysis and writing the respective Safety Reports and Safety Cases

- Consults with development to define the safety concept of products/systems
- Defines safety requirements by evaluating & defining railway operational hazards that could be caused by the signalling system
- Evaluates the safety of designs and design changes for both hardware and software by reviewing technical specifications, designs & engineering change control documentation.
- Verifies the safety of both hardware and software products and the system to be put into service
- Identifies & evaluates safety problems, suggests design alternatives where appropriate to enhance safety, based on knowledge of design feasibility & the safety requirements.
- Applies and further develops the existing RAMS strategies.
- Examines products / systems from an overall safety point of view for identifying hazardous faults. Provides evaluations & recommendations with respect to safety in formal design reviews.
- Defines safety conditions and restrictions: Safety related application conditions (SAC)
Operational restriction, Maintenance rules
- Participates as member of crisis management group to analyse possible hazards and participates in decision making related to measures to be taken based on risk analysis.


CERINTE

Education:
University degree in transportation, automation, electrical engineering, computer sciences or physics

Required technical competencies:

- 2-3 years in technical projects development related to safety critical or security systems
- 1-2 years experience in rail signalling or safety systems development or testing
- Able to analyse and to understand complex systems, activity chains and operational concepts

Preferred technical competencies:

- Knowledge of railway systems
- Knowledge of European railways standards and norms (CENELEC, M¿8004)
- Knowledge of reliability and safety analysis techniques.
- MS-office programs

Personal competencies

- Well organized, Accurate, Efficient, Proactive
- Communicative, Team worker

Languages:

- Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
- German is a plus
