- administering all contracting matters relating to the design and construction activities of the Construction Department
- ensuring that contracting matters are carried out in accordance with contracting policy and procedures and the Manual of Authorities
- preparing Tender, Variation Order and Call-Off documentation for civil, building, utility and construction works
- preparing progress valuations of the ongoing activities and validating contractors’ invoices
- assisting the construction supervisors with contractual matters and reviewing any correspondence to external parties
- reviewing of any claims and/or requests for compensation, prepare position and recommend ways forward
- verifies a quantity records booklet submitted by the Subcontractors.
- creates quantity records booklet or equivalent for the customer, according to active invoicing procedures, certifying quantities and practices.
- updates quantity records booklets and successive accounting documents relating to works, according to data received monthly from all work site assistants.
- supplies quantitative data for the preparation of Extra Works and economy works, receiving from Site Foreman, Assistants and Team leaders approval of said forecast and balance data.
- collects official price revision indexes, as specified by local bulletins recognized by the contract.
- checks all work accounting documents, supervise final accounting and to obtain the signature of those responsible.
- assists in the technical-administrative settling of claims presented by sub-contractors.
- training of staff
- Degree in Civil and/or Building Quantity Surveying / a technical qualification in combination with sufficient applicable experience may be accepted
- relevant experience in a similar role; experience in the petrochemical industry would be a plus
- good knowledge of English
- familiar with computers/software (Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and E-mail)
- interpersonal communication skills
- working to the highest HSE standards
