Our client is a leading global producer of lime, with more than 140 years of experience in the extraction and processing of high calcium limestone and dolomitic stone into lime and lime-related products for industrial and commercial customers. Together we are looking for a Quality Responsible.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Quality-Environment Manager any aspect referring the quality of products;
Centralizing daily the results of the parameters determined for the products and elaborated the quality report which is sent to the Quality-Environment Manager;
Analysing and solving the intimation and complaints regarding the lab testing works and the quality of products under the limits of the competences established by the Quality-Environment Manager;
Making sure that the unit works comply with the sampling/checking parameters, the characteristics and the technical specifications approved for the inspection of products on the production line of the finished products.
Performing follow up according to the technical specifications the properties, the methods, the frequencies, the responsible for the tests in the labs; follows up the compliance with the registration documents for the evaluation of the products conformity;
Validating the results obtained after the tests made in the labs;
Performing statistic evaluation of the products` conformity;
Taking part at the periodical check up and evaluation of the laboratory personnel;
Centralizing the necessary of equipment and consumables for the labs;
Organizing and performing the training of lab heads;
Following the entire activity developed by the personnel in the lab;
Identifying the legal requests and regulations applicable to the activity developed and notifying the Quality-Environment Manager on these matters.;
Proposing measures for the improvement of the products quality;
Verifying the implementation of procedures and documents from SMCM in the labs;
Analysing the modifications occurred in the quality system and elaborate proposals for the periodic revisions of SMCM documents;
Assuring the maintenance of the SMCM according to standards ISO 9001 / 2000, EN ISO 14001 / 2004 and ISO / CEI 17025 – 2000 for the labs in the unit works;
Establishing the corrective / preventive measures in the activity of the plants labs; is the interface with the Quality-Environment Manager for those unconformities that overpass the limits of competence of laboratory heads.
University Degree (chemistry);
At least 2 years in a similar position;
English (written and spoken);
Knowledge regarding the SMCM;
Theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the development of lab activity;
Knowledge of legislation regarding: product conformity, dangerous substances and materials for constructions;
Initiative and team working abilities;
Communication skills;
Well organised, results oriented and pro-active;
Flexible to move.
