Business Group Description:
The MSG Automotive SW team from Romania is focused on developing the basic software for the advanced automotive electronic devices powered by the 32bit Power Architecture™. The basic software functionality is standardized by the Automotive Open System Architecture organization and it's incorporated in all programmable Electronic Units (EU) which are part of any modern car system
Job Purpose:
To ensure that the Freescale software products delivered to the automotive customers are compliant with the established software quality process created based on the standards/models required in Automotive industry ( ISO9001, TS16949; ISO26262; Auto-SPICE; CMMI)
Responsibilities:
To be successful in your role you will have to display the following activities:
• To define the Microcontroller Solutions Group software development process mapped on the software product life-cycle, by describing the necessary activities, tasks, roles, deliverables execution methods in order to ensure delivery of high quality software products
• To improve the software development process for MSG by building continuous process improvement plans and tracking to closer of the improvement tasks - in order to ensure the enhancement of software products quality
• Planning and executing ISO9001/ISO26262/TS16949/SPICE/CMMI internal audits in order to identify weakness of the products or process, and ensure timely tracking to closer of the corrective actions.
• To implement product specific metrics according with the project metrics plan in order to assess the maturity of the process and product development
• To review the quality documentation for both Freescale and third parties software deliverables, in order to ensure that the product is meeting customers quality expectations
• Preparing and delivering projects quality status and metrics results for the Quality Management Reviews meetings
• Driving the preparation effort for the ISO/TS certification and for Auto-SPICE assessments lead by the Automotive Customers
• Preparing and delivering software process and tools training for Freescale employees and partners
To ensure your successful performance in this role your working past experience should reflect :
• At least 3 years experience developing or testing software
Your technical knowledge and skills should demonstrate:
• BS or MS in Electronics or Computer Science; Computer Engineering
• Understanding the content and process areas for one of the Software Modules: CMM, CMMI or SPICE
• Ability to interpret and apply ISO9001 quality standard
• Able to describe and define Software Products Lifecycles and Software Development Lifecycles (V-Model, Waterfall or others)
• Ability to define a software process by defining roles, activities and deliverables
• Understanding the way a software metrics is defined, deployed, analyzed and improved
• Able to deliver training for the main features of version control and defect tracking tools
• Nice to have knowledge in ISO26262 and TS16949 standards
• Good command of English (speaking & writing)
