• Making sure the project meets the quality expectations of the end-user and the company standards.
• Work closely with the software developers to design product specifications.
• Write and maintain test specifications
• Write and execute automated test procedures
• Perform user, workflow and scenario testing.
• Communicate effectively with other quality engineers
The ideal candidate should:
have experience in both software quality assurance/testing and in programming (prefferably with the Java language)
should know OOP (Object Oriented Programming) concepts/fundamentals
should have experience in working with at least one IDE (Integrated Development Environment), prefferably Eclipse; experience in working with Visual Studio is an acceptable alternative
be able to work on their own
be able to self train
It’s a plus if that the candidate:
has experience with JUnit or any other unit testing framework
has previous experience with automated testing tools or automated testing frameworks
has previous experience with a source versioning system (like CVS, SVN, SourceSafe, Perforce, etc)
