Job Profile: Quality Assurance Team Lead
Reports to: VP of Product Development
Location: Bucharest
Description
The Lead Technical QA Analyst will conduct requirements analysis, compose tests plans and complete test execution to achieve desired levels of quality for project deliverables.
Responsibilities
Conduct blackbox & whitebox, automated and manual testing throughout lifecycle
Use business and functional specifications to build QA design and create test strategy, test plans, test cases
Determine test strategies for integration, functional, regression testing, performance, load and stress testing
Actively participate in SDLC by providing quality related feedback
Provide feasible work estimates based on all QA activities related to a particular project or individual assignment
Act as a liaison between the technical and business sides of the project team
Lead document review of test plan and test cases
Lead bug triage meetings and prioritize issues based on the client and project needs
Own the lifecycle of issues/bugs being recorded, tracked, resolved and closed
Effectively communicate regarding QA issues based on acquired knowledge and be persuasive in addressing findings
Act as a mentor and offer technical guidance to junior members of the QA team
Qualifications and General Competencies
University degree in Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent experience
5-7 years of relevant QA experience; demonstrated knowledge of testing and software fundamentals and methodologies
Experience with automation testing using commercial and self constructed testing tools
Ability to proactively plan out quality assurance approach based on business requirements
Strong leadership skills
Able to plan and develop test cases for full requirement testing coverage
Proven analytical and problem solving skills and experience
At least 2 years experience in QA working with databases (Oracle, MS SQL, etc.)
1-2 years programming experience
Performance testing experience a plus
OLAP database experience a plus
Able to persevere - willing to ask the right questions with the tenacity to ensure an answer is provided
Must have the enthusiasm for the quality assurance process in a development environment and approach QA from the end-user perspective
Must be organized, detailed oriented, and have effective time management in order to add value to multiple projects simultaneously
Must have well developed written and verbal communication skills
Must have well developed interpersonal skills, and be flexible and tactful in negotiation to quickly resolve issues and ensure fixes and recommendations are acted upon
