The Quality Assurance Test Tools group is responsible for maintaining the QA environment and developing and supporting QA automation tools. This position will contribute to a small and busy technical team in the following ways:
- Configure and maintain multi-platform, distributed infrastructure and test environments.
- Support software testing by assisting test script executors in running and troubleshooting test scripts.
- Integrate new testing projects and new technologies into the QA testing environment.
- Provide technical help to QA team members.
- Develop and maintain tools and utilities for automated GUI testing and batch testing.
- Produce documentation for procedural and technical issues.
The candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- Technical backgroud
Familiarity with C++, C# and scripting programming languages (Shell, perl scripting)
- Creative and proficient problem solving and a keen interest in "looking under the hood" to resolve issues
- Familiarity with both traditional client-server and web-based technologies.
- Ability to work as a team member on projects
- Infrastructure support experience/familiarity with distributed UNIX and Windows environments
- Ability to communicate about software problems and issues
- It is essential to be analytical, self-motivated, well organized, detail-oriented, and provide good follow-up.
- Good communications skills (verbal and written) are essential.

- Hands-on software testing, specifically with automated GUI testing
- SilkTest experience (will train, if necessary)
