The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible with the implementation and execution of the software quality assurance procedures. At Rack-Soft the software quality is our primary concern, therefore you are required to both follow procedures and be creative. On this job, you will have to:
- Write the software testing documentation following the development requirements
- Write testing automation tools (components for existing frameworks or new ones)
- Perform software testing on multiple platforms
- Report bugs in a meaningful form
- Suggest improvements based on comparative studies
- Suggest documentation goals
- Apply documented break-in strategies on known code
- Comply with the company continuous improvement processes
- Provide feedback and reporting to management regarding documentation and overall software quality
Our candidate should have a B.S or M.S degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering and a relevant (2+ years) experience as software Quality Assurance Engineer. Good understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems, network protocols (with focus on VoIP protocols), and web technologies is required.
The Quality Assurance Engineer must also be very organized and he should be able to spot what is less than obvious. Intermediate knowledge of programming languages is a big plus.
