What would you do?
plan, design, develop and execute different types of tests for our web-based products;
design regression, functional and non-functional (like performance, security) tests for new system releases and automate them as much as possible;
conduct black-box and white-box testing;
work closely with the development team to investigate and solve major software incidents.
If you have:
at least 1 year QA experience;
know how to read a system specification to understand the purpose and structure of the system;
know how to look at a system (specifically web applications) and its specification and from these understand the areas to be tested;
know how to assess the quality of software by measuring the relevant factors: testability, correctness, reliability, usability, maintainability, reusability, speed, scalability, stability;
BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
development skills in Java;
knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, FIT);
knowledge of XSLT, JavaScript, Web applications, HTTP protocol, Spring, Maven and Ant;
basic usage of version control systems (Subversion);
knowledge in performing complete software project development cycle involving 3-tier architecture, object-oriented design, OO framework-based implementation;
highly motivated, self-driven and interested in Quality Assurance;
very good communication skills and a great team player;
fluent in English (both written and spoken).
Would be a plus:
experience with an automated testing tool (e.g. TestComplete, SeleniumIDE, JMeter, etc.);
ISTQB certification;
experience with continuous integration (Hudson);
knowledge of German language.
