Job summary:
Review existing automation testing framework; extend, adapt and change to integrate new software products developed mainly in Java
Duties and tasks:
1. Propose the best technologies for having a robust yet flexible testing framework, responding to usual needs: reliability, scalability, maintainability and other ‘ilities
2. Address both front end and backend automated testing
3. Maintain and extend the framework as the new products are created or existing products are evolving
4. Be able to collaborate with a highly technical customer, evangelize a professional QA approach
5. If needed act as QA Lead for other QA colleagues
6. Perform manual testing occasionally, if the automated coverage is not satisfactory or on critical product parts as needed by the risks detected by the customer or the project manager
7. Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers;
8. Work according to the team’s procedures and continually look to improve the skills required by the job.
Ideal candidate profile
Skills : Communication, team spirit, dynamism, initiative, relevant experience building and enhancing test automation frameworks good knowledge of windows linux operating systems experience with automated operating system, application installation deployment and continuous integration good knowledge on maven ant knowledge of qa methodologies, qa test plans, test case development and the defect reporting process relevant tools for ui and rest services automated testing eg selenium for front end testing soft skills autonomy, rigor, innovation and creativity, wish to learn and to create a positive change istqb certification nice to have
