SpamExperts BV, a key-player in the Internet-security industry, is looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active, and skilled Python Developer who loves development challenges to contribute to building enterprise-class email security solutions. You will work in a small team, some co-located in in Bucharest, and others across the world, of highly motivated professionals and are expected to work in a independent and proactive fashion.
Responsibilities:
• Development of our server-side products (incoming email filtering, outgoing email filtering, email archiving)
• Development of open-source projects (5-10%)
• Reports to Back-end Coordinator and/or Lead Developer
• Extra tasks as deemed necessary
Desired profile:
• Advanced Python programming
• Basic Linux/Debian experience
• Proficient use of the English language
• Knowledge/familiarity with how Internet email works (i.e. IMAP, SMTP and the respective RFCs, as well as things like DNS, IP/IPv6)
Beneficial other skills:
• MySQL skills
• Familiarity with email-related security systems (e.g. DNSBL, DKIM, SPF, DMARC, BATV)
• Ability to create basic unit tests
• Familiarity with creation/use of RESTful APIs
• Degree-level knowledge of statistics
