For one of our clients, a multinational company active in the pet food industry, we are looking for a Purchasing & Logistic Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Regular analysis of pet food and pet care market and products, pet trends analysis;
- Proposing assortment structure and its update for company pet stores according to market demands, news and sales analysis;
- Negotiating with transport companies and distribution network and selecting fastest and most cost effective delivery way and delivery terms to supply merchandise and animals to the stores;
- Creates, implement and updates operational rules and manuals for communication with stores, central warehouse, suppliers and transport companies in regards to all logistic procedures, supply and stock management, including merchandise ordering, reception, storing, life animals maintenance, retail program functioning and others;
- Proposes and coordinates pricing and assortment policy for company products and animals;
- Prepares development and action plans for purchasing & logistic department;
- Coordinating the communication and information flow about orders, packing and packing labels and language, time schedules, paperwork related, and problems resolutions between head office, stores, suppliers, distribution and transport companies;
- Coordinates and manages activities of company warehouse and warehouse personnel;
- Management and cooperation with accounting in regards to all paperwork necessary in relation to ordering, reception, delivery, returns and sales;
- Coordination and controlling of all necessary certifications and veterinary approvals in relations to products and animals sold in company stores;
- Prepares various reports within purchasing & logistic department responsibilities including report for financial expenses of purchasing & logistic department;
- Coordinates in cooperation with operation department activities for shop opening with emphasis on furniture, merchandise & animals ordering, reception, documentation necessary and all logistic preparation for sales, including staff training for retail program and logistic operations.
- University degree - economy;
- Pet market expert and pet care knowledge is a must;
- Minimum 3 years experience in retail logistic position;
- Experience and knowledge of store stock management and logistic operations;
- Experience with stock management programs necessary;
- English proficiency - grammatically and verbally high level (CEO is foreign person);
- PC literacy - word, excel, power point - experienced;
- Very well organized and methodical, multi tasking necessary;
- Very good negotiation and communication skills;
- Problems solving attitude, proactive, independent, optimist.
