On behalf of our client, a well-known multinational competitor in the Retail Business and number one brand/name in furniture, we are looking for a professional experienced individual for the following position:
PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST.
Main tasks:
- You lead the work in securing good relations with the media, especially with the newspapers and magazines that are focused on home furnishings;
- You write all press releases and you are responsible for the content of these;
- You secure that the local media in your country receive sufficient support: product news, information about general marketing activities, etc;
- You are an active member of the marketing department;
- You contribute to the development of the yearly business plan for the marketing department and implement the parts that relate to Public Relations;
- You are the company’s face towards all media in your country and give all interviews and press conferences;
- You secure that the budget for the PR department is achieved.
- Previous experience from working with media is needed either from having worked as PR Manager/ Specialist for a large company or from working as a reporter in newspapers, TV or radio so that a good understanding of media is obtained;
- General retailing experience;
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Must have highly developed networking skills;
- Must be able to speak and understand English;
- Leadership skills: this is primarily a specialist role where the emphasis is on competence related to public relations activities.
