Job Title: PROJECT QUALITY ENGINEER
Department: Quality Department
Location: Bucharest / Romania
Reports to: Project Quality Manager/ Project Manager
Purpose: - planning and implementation of the Quality Assurance activities
Working Conditions: construction site and site office

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

The Project Quality Engineer is responsible for planning and implementation of the Quality Assurance
activities within the project and coordination of the project Quality Control activities implementation:
- to provide the necessary back-up to the Project Manager regarding contractual issues relating to Quality both during tender and project execution phase.
- To plan and allocate Quality functions to individual projects.
- to draw up a Quality Plan, Quality Control Plan and Project Quality Procedures which guarantee compliance with contractual requirements and ISO Standards.
- to check the implementation of the requirements stated in the Quality Plan, Quality Control Plan and
Project Quality Procedures
- To liaise with Clients about Quality matters.
- To assess the suitability of vendors and sub-contractors for individual projects.
- To interface with responsible for inspection and control activities.
- To plan and supervise internal and external Project Audits.
- To assess the Quality Control Plans of sub-contractors and identify any necessary corrective measures.
- To provide Project personnel with the necessary Quality training.
- To monitor the collection of "As built" data for projects.
- responsible for conducting site surveillance visits to ensure that project procedural and quality requirements are met and that Execution Contractors, sub-contractors / suppliers conform to project quality requirements.
- Responsible for participating in project quality improvement workshops and the development of quality tools and techniques for use by the QA/QC engineers.
- Supervising the Quality Engineers activities
- Checking the implementation of the contractual requirements
- To insure that the safety policy, standards and regulations requirements are implemented through the civil engineering activities.
- To insure that the activities are performed in compliance with the provisions of the HSE Manual and related procedures and with the local safety regulations


CERINTE

The job holder must have
¿ Minimum of 3 years experience in Project Quality Management (education to a degree or diploma level may be of advantage)
¿ Demonstrable evidence of Quality Assurance Management practice;
¿ Familiarity with ISO 9001:2000;
Required Competencies:
The job holder must have proven:
¿ Understanding of Quality Management as it applies to construction business;
¿ Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within multi-functional teams;
¿ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
¿ Well developed skills in both written and spoken English;
¿ Good people management and leadership skills allied to a strong commercial awareness;
¿ Proactive and self starting in all areas of project quality management.
