Project Manager
Maintaining responsibility successful completion of projects within specified time.
Maintaining good relations with Consultants and Client.
Maintaining control of Sub-contractor/suppliers and ensuring proper execution.
Controlling and drafting all correspondence related to the project.
Project Engineer
General supervision of all contracted work on site: programming and scheduling of work, estimation of materials and maintenance of continuous work flow.
Preparing recommendations to the CM/ PM regarding subcontracts/ joint venture works to institute a system of reporting on the progress of such works.
Reporting to management on all aspects of site work: material shortage, labor unrest, and transfer of personnel/ equipment to other areas.
Preparation of Program of Works in liaison with Project Manager.
Preparation of Site Mobilization Scheme and general site requirements.
Preparation of Materials requisitions for the site and counter-signs the materials requisitions prepared by the site engineer.
Preparing a take-off for all quantities and specifies materials for the project and prepares Schedule of Materials forms.
Preparation of bi-weekly and/or Monthly reports for the site highlighting requirements of plant, material, labor and possible delays, etc.
Liaising with Consultants supervisory staff on daily basis and he is responsible for the site communication with the Consultant and Subcontractors.
Supervision of general site-progress and directs site engineer to execute the work in the scheme required by management.
Monitoring site-progress against Program and prepares reports to Project Manager.
Coordinating works of Subcontractors and prepares correspondence with all concerned parties/consultants. Subcontractors, suppliers, clients, etc.
Checking the materials received on site to be in compliance with requirements.
Checking setting out of works executed by Foreman and Site Engineer.
Authority to assume the duties of P.M. if instructed.
Efficient distribution of material and utilization of manpower.
Regularly carrying-out work measurement and preparing valuations where necessary.
.Ensuring the safety of personnel and company assets.
Coordinating activities with stores, purchasing department, personnel and engineering services.
To ensure all company procedures are being applied: working hours, material requisitioning and returns, transfer of PMV, security guards, wages procedures, holidays and leave.
Preparing cost control measures and procedures to ensure cost effective execution of projects.
Maintaining responsibility for the overall execution of the project works in accordance with the set program.
Preparing the program of works in liaison with the Project Engineers.
Progressing/ Reviewing the Schedule of materials and material requirements with P.E. and monitoring procurement process of materials.
Negotiating with Subcontractors and suppliers and reports to management to finalize orders.
Controlling all correspondence on the project and attending all project meetings.Coordinating with Client and Consultant and signing all the project correspondence.
Ensuring the availability of plant and labour as required, in coordination with Contracts Manager (and other P.M./P.E.).
Maintaining responsibility for general quality control and safety practices on site.
Coordinating the technical and contractual matters relating to the works with management and Q.S. Department.
Undertaking the duties and responsibilities of Project Engineer in case the latter is not available.
B. Sc in Civil Engineering / Industrial Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience in project management/project engineering
