As a comprehensive software development solution, the backbone is the CodeWarrior™ Integrated Development Environment, built on Eclipse open source framework. Development targets include the entire Freescale silicon product portfolio: Digital Signal Processors and Controllers (e.g. StarCore), 32-bit Microcontrollers and Processors (e.g. Power Architecture, ColdFire), 8/16-bit Microcontrollers, 2.5G-3G+ Cellular Platforms, etc.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
The successful project manager is overall responsible for planning, scheduling, tracking and delivery on time, on budget and on quality of all engineering components from within CodeWarrior™ tools: compiler, debugger, simulator, profiler, wizards, 3rd party components, etc.
- Maintains functional milestones and budgeted projects together with functional managers
- Communicates with functional managers and other project stakeholders around requirements and schedule details from planning to execution and closing
- Drive metrics improvement and adoption;provides regular metrics reports regarding schedules/ programs & resource utilization
- Maintains level of effort, site resource allocation and utilization and rolls this to stakeholders
- Mentoring of junior engineers and assisting them in the development of their technical skills (project planning, estimation and progress reporting)
