1. Take full technical and commercial responsibility for the execution of projects assigned by the General Manager in all matters that are covered within the terms of the contract (from initial Contract Review to Project Close Out);
2. Determine the objectives for the project team and to communicate these to the team;
3. Establish and implement all necessary project plans and procedures as required by the Quality Management System;
4. Identify and agree the assignment of resources required for successful execution of the project in a timely and planned manner with the General Manager / Operations Director / Business Managers
5. Organise the project team and to motivate its members towards successful achievement of specified goals, particularly through regular project meetings, delegate work to the project team members via the Project Engineer in a manner that encourages individual responsibility and to authorise actions on specified work packages;
6. Control the progress and cost of the project through continuous review of project reports. Where adverse trends or deviations occur, to consider alternative solutions, make decisions, communicate these to the client, project and Company personnel, and follow up to ensure the decision is implemented;
7. Take full responsibility for the correctness and quality of all technical work executed as part of the project by personnel involvement and by coordinating input of Company's technical expertise;
8. Prepare brief summary reports and workload projections for the Engineering Manager(s) of project status and problem areas;
9. Ensure orderly close-out of the project, obtain final certificates from the client, ensure that all project documentation is archived and prepare all close-out documentation, including project résumés;
10. Supervise the preparation of manhour estimates and deliverables for bids and new work and undertake other management functions as required by the Engineering Manager.
11. Keeping to the control budget within the objectives established for the Project and to monitor and expedite account receivables for the Project
12. To document lessons learned and to review/implement lessons learned from other Projects
13. To close out the project
1. Degree in an engineering discipline (preferred)
2. Proven experience in the management of engineering and procurement projects for the oil and gas industry
3. English - advanced level
