The Project Manager is working in a supervisor position with direct people management responsibilities (hiring, setting of objectives, measure of achievement, salary management, and development plan) and direct responsibility for technical contribution. A Project Manager is in charge of a set of self-standing deliverables that he/she contributes to define and for which he/she takes unique responsibility of delivery. The members of the technical staff report to him/her on a permanent basis and together they form a team with a unique identity and skill-set within the R&D organization. The Project Manager has the responsibility of the delivery, and the empowerment to take what he/she believes to be the most appropriate technical approach in order to successfully achieve the assigned objectives. He/she has to work following the Océ software development methodologies and will define a precise project plan for each of the deliverables he/she is in charge of. Regular reviews with his peers, the Department Manager and the General Manager will help him/her in ensuring successful delivery.
¿ University degree in computer engineering or related subjects
¿ 5+ years of working experience in software development
¿ 2+ years experience in project management
¿ Good background in object oriented development methodology
¿ Managerial skills to lead, organize and motivate teams
¿ Fluent in English
