We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the development team, initially of 3 developers but with very likely growth in team size. As such the Project Manager will manage the team but also lead the project management of individual projects and participate in actual software
development.
The ideal candidate should have contributed to and/or led teams in delivering technology in Enterprise applications space. Proven ability to collaborate and communicate well with senior staff as well as mentor and grow staff and build high-performance teams. The ideal candidate can think architecture and overall project but is also hands-on and can participate in coding along with the development team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a growing development team of software developers;
- Drive technical strategy and architecture;
- Ensure that all features embody engineering best practices, efficient, scalable architecture, elegant design and high quality implementation;
- Drive quality process initiatives through out the product lifecycle to eliminate architecture, design and coding defects at the source;
- Lead code reviews to ensure consistently high level of design and implementation;
- Drive application technical strategy;
- Build organisational strength by recruiting strong talent to fill openings and developing
existing team members.
- Degree in computer science or related engineering;
- English read, spoken and written. Other foreign languages a plus but not a prerequisite;
- 3+ years in software development roles;
- At least one complete product cycle as project manager or development lead;
- Proven contribution to product strategy;
- Project management tools and discipline;
- A commitment to quality;
- Willingness to take ownership of features and drive them to completion;
- An experienced Visual Basic.Net / ASP.NET developer, preferably VB.Net 2005 and ASP.NET 2.0;
- Usage of Microsoft Visual Studio (preferably version 2005 and Visual Studio Team System) as development system
- Knowledge of developing with MS SQL and other database systems is a plus;
- Knowledge of the business application market is a definite plus;
- Demonstrated ability in building and leading software teams;
- Strong credibility with engineers and technical professionals;
- Excellent organizational, communication and technical skills.
