Specifically, the Project Manager will be responsible for:
The day-to-day management of the UNDP project
Selection and training of local staff
Organizes and supervise the selection process of the project’s beneficiaries
Organizes the tender procedures for the refurbishments of premises, purchasing of equipment, preparation and adaptation of training and counseling curricula contracts
Periodical reporting on the project’s progress
Provides on-site management of the project
Liaise with all necessary levels of authorities
Is responsible for the financial results of the project in accordance with UNDP rules and procedures
Submits progress and financial reports to the Head of Socio-Economic Section
Organizes the official events and ensures a proper media coverage of the project progress and achievements
Any necessary fund-raising activities
Academic degree in Economics, International Relations or a discipline related to business management; 3-5 years equivalent work experience in project related assignments, preferably in an international context; excellent computer ability; full working knowledge of English, including excellent writing and communications skills; professionalism and maturity; ability to design and develop new initiatives; sound judgment and good analytical skills, possibility to travel to project’s sites.
