ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inspects materials, products, processes, work flow, performance, scheduling to continuously refined specifications by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned:
Examine process for variation e.g. such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds, size, quality, efficiency, effectiveness.
Compares product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.
Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.
Identifies defects, and marks type of defect on process flow map.
Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams, value stream mapping and confers with Absolute IT Solutions and client’s management, steering team, or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical characteristics.
Operates any diagnostic equipment and software as needed to meet client expectations.
Ability to present recommendations to large and small groups in informal and formal settings.
Performs related duties as needed by supervision.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
US equivalent of a BS in business or industrial engineering and three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
US equivalent of an MBA. Black Belt Six Sigma or Bronze Lean certification. Experience in leading and organizing continuous improvement Kaizen activities.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Must be familiar with Oracle and Microsoft based commercial software.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, algorithms, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to read and interpret spreadsheets and graphs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be fluent in English and language of project location.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
