Programmer/Analyst - SAP ABAP
The Programmer/Analyst position utilizes both analytical and programming skills. The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for designing, coding, modifying, testing, and documenting applications. The design work ranges from a low to medium level of complexity. The programmer/analyst may provide direction to a programmer.
Responsibilities:
Must be able to write technical specifications based on verbal directions
Create and maintain code for batch and on-line SAP applications in ABAP
Test and debug for batch and on-line SAP applications
Prepare appropriate testing and implementation documentation in a timely manner
Ability to work independently
Skills and Knowledge:
Soft Skills
Written and oral communications must be clear and accurate
Analytical and problem solving skills
Must be able to interface inter- and intra-departmentally
Focuses on timely solution delivery
• Technical
Strong ABAP skills, preferably in R/3 4.6C or above
Aptitude to learn new programming languages and skills
Capable of testing own programs
Capable of interpreting and designing flow charts
Good knowledge of project life-cycle
Programming using a 4GL language
Familiarity with object-oriented programming/concepts
Ability to perform object-oriented systems analysis and design
Good functional understanding of at least one module in SAP MM, SD or FI/CO/PA
• Business
Good knowledge of business applications (sales, inventory, financial, etc.)
