The Developer Technology (DevTech) Software Analysis Team provides high quality C/C++ software profiling development tools to a variety of embedded software development markets, including Network/Communications, Wireless handset and infrastructure, and Transportation industries.
Our profiling tools include trace download capabilities, trace viewers, performance calculations, cache usage, etc., all integrated into a single Integrated Development Environment based on the Eclipse open-sourced framework. Development targets include the entire Freescale silicon product portfolio
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
The engineer will participate in various stages of design and development of CodeWarrior Embedded Profiler.
The job involves software design, development, testing and maintenance of the various modules and interaction with technical support.
- University degree, preferable in Computer Science / Mathematic-Informatics / Cybernetics
- At least 6 months hands-on experience with C++
- Windows and/or Linux application development experience with an additional understanding of programming for embedded systems
- Quick learning ability for new technologies
- Results oriented person – has the drive to deliver the tasks on time
- Details oriented person
- Good English command

- Developing a very good understanding of the Eclipse Plug-in development
- Learning about processors architecture used in automotive area
- Challenged in every interaction with a wide range of hardware architecture
- Developing very good knowledge on the RTOS
- Gaining expertise regarding the optimization process of an application
- Working closely with the Freescale hardware team in order to define the next generation of trace modules within the processors in order to facilitate in depth analysis of RT execution of an application that is running on the processor
