The Product Manager for BitDefender Consumer Products is responsible for assisting the Sr. PM for Consumer Products in the planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle of the before mentioned products. She/he must gather and prioritize requirements, define the product vision by building the MRD and keeping in mind the company strategy and the business goals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Responsible of the success in the market of the managed solutions measured in number of users, revenue and renewal rate
2. Ensuring that deliverables match expected results (as agreed upon with all the stakeholders)
3. Implementing BitDefender¿¿¿s product lifecycle processes and work towards streamlining and optimizing the efforts undertaken to release the products.
4. Working closely with sales and marketing to ensure that:
a. The Marketing team has all required technical information on Consumer products.
b. The Marketing team requirements are reflected in the MRD
5. Working closely with Engineering to ensure that:
a. The Engineering team¿¿¿s requirements are reflected in the MRD
b. The PRD appropriately covers MRD requirements and that the negotiated list of improvements is the best match keeping in mind the product vision.
c. The intermediate builds of the new version matches the expected results and if not, that appropriate actions are taken
6. Working closely with Support to ensure customer satisfaction.
Also the Product Manager for Consumer Products should be able to:
1. Define strategy and roadmap for assigned products and deliver them to the Sr. Consumer Products for integration in the overall Consumer Roadmap.
2. Deliver MRDs that clearly state the product strategy and include prioritized list of requirements
3. Assist in efforts working with external companies on product bundling
4. Execute beta plans and run beta programs
5. Be an expert on the competition
6. Act as a leader
7. Participate in weekly desktop related meetings
8. Execute day to day tasks given by the Sr. Product Manager for Consumer Products
This position reports to the Sr. PM for Consumer Products and is based in Buchar
Required experience, knowledge and core skills
1. 2+ years experience in a project management capacity related to software product lifecycles
2. 4+ years of experience in a job in the software sector
3. Experience in the Mac and/or Mobile segments preferred
4. Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
5. Proven record of being able to multitask in a stressing environment
6. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. Technical background, with experience in software programming preferred
9. Excellent teamwork and communication skills
10. Flexible, assertive, finalizer, self starter and open minded
11. Capability to work independently
12. Good negotiator
