Freescale Semiconductor’s Developer Technology Organization (DevTech) helps customers experience and fully leverage the performance of Freescale products.
Our primary product offerings include award-winning CodeWarrior™ development tools with compilers, debuggers, performance and analysis tools, silicon bring-up technology, and runtime technology for Linux, DSP OS, OSEK, AutoSAR.
Innovation is the driving force behind CodeWarrior™ technology. As a comprehensive software development solution, the backbone is the CodeWarrior™ Integrated Development Environment, built on Eclipse open source framework. Using CodeWarrior™, developers get the benefit of using common functionality across a broad range of Freescale processors and platforms. Development targets include the entire Freescale silicon product portfolio: Digital Signal Processors and Controllers (e.g. StarCore), 32-bit Microcontrollers and Processors (e.g. Power Architecture, ColdFire), 8/16-bit Microcontrollers, 2.5G-3G+ Cellular Platforms, etc.
- Integrate, test, and package embedded software products;
- Develop, maintain, and test software samples and wizards used in embedded products;
- Write and/or integrate product release notes;
- Integrate test scripts for layout, installer tests, license tests, integration tests;
- Coordinate and work with various global software and system teams to acquire components for product integration;
- Work with product engineering manager as well as global engineering team to produce testable layouts early in the development cycle.
- University degree, preferable in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronics;
- 1-2 years hands-on experience with C/C++, Perl;
- Knowledge of operating systems fundamentals Windows/Linux;
- Effective organizational skills - ability to multi-task, cooperate and work under pressure;
- Excellent English command.
Some of the following skills would bring an advantage:
- Knowledge of software version control systems (e.g. CVS, ClearCase) is a big plus;
- Eclipse environment and Java programming language;
- Previous experience in development of automated test software;
- Knowledge of software quality, software development process (e.g. CMMi, ISO).
