- Locate and arrange for purchase of goods;
- Monitor the distribution of the ordered material on site with the fulfilmement of the delivery schedule;
- Close cooperation with the design department and the quality department for purchasing the correct quantities and in compliance with the required quality;
- Analyze prices and data to determine what is a good price to pay;
- Negotiate lowest price with suppliers and vendors;
- Respect the policies and rules of the company for placing bids for goods or services;
- Prepare contracts to suppliers;
- Evaluate and monitor contracts to ensure promises are met;
- Confer with vendors to discuss new products or problems with orders;
- Use computer software to manage sales records and inventory;
- Identify customer and store needs;
- Set or recommend prices on products;
- Monitor competitor's sales activities;
-Research trends and economic conditions to predict buying patterns;
- Participiate in tendering process when the company is bidding for new projects.
- Graduate;
- Minimum 2 years procurement experience;
good knowledge on the local (Romanian) suppliers for electrification equipment, steel works;
- Worked in individual contributor capacity in transactional procurement;
- MS office applications (Word, Excel);
- Negotiation skills;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Good level of English;
- B category drivers license;
- Experience of working in the railway industry is a plus.
