As Procurement Operations Manager you will be responsible for running the entire Procurement Operations Organization in the HP Delivery Center in Bucharest
-Act as the receiving Manager and plan for work which may transition from EMEA region to the Procurement Operations team in Bucharest
-Lead the knowledge transfer and implementation of processes and procedures
-Manage delivery, consumer satisfaction, and business controls compliance associated with EMEA key partners and consumer groups in partnership with the Global Process standards
-Manage employees and contractor performance associated with mid and high touch work and in accordance with HP policies and practices.
-Ensure compliance with procurement, legal, financial and business controls (policies, guidelines, and processes)
-Identify changes required to support emerging business needs and strategies.
-Propose and lead implementation of improved process, workflow and delivery models for mid and high touch work
-Consult the management team and stakeholders and provide guidance and assistance on resolving operations issues, handle escalation issues
-Influence across organization, function and country boundaries to achieve agreed-to objectives
-Relevant University degree
-Experience in procurement would be plus (thorough knowledge and understanding of procurement practices and processes)
-Very strong people management experience required — at least 5 years as people manager of a big team (30-40 people)
-Ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals.
-Fluency in English and Romanian essential, both verbal and written.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work in a virtual, global environment and manage work, priorities, and ad hoc requests independently.
-Results drive and proven problem solving experience and strong analytical skills
-Able to perform in a dynamic and demanding work environment
