For one of our clients, multinational very well known and market present company in the oil and gas industry, we are currently looking for a Procurement Expert to join a newly developed department inside this ever growing company.
The key responsibilities for this position will be:
- The responsible configuration of procurement activities within the frame of major investment projects assigned to the head of the specialized division as a Lead Buy Function.
- Specification of the procurement development directives with the according engineering office
- Specification of the list of suppliers and the project implementation plan in cooperation with the HUB leader and the nominated project leader
- Extension/ update of the list of suppliers
- Continuous optimization of the process sequences
- Plausibility check for the following services to be provided by the engineering office:
- Tenders
- Specification/ release of short lists
- Comparison of bids/ awarding recommendations
- Benchmarks, if necessary completed with own data
- Contract changes and adaptation
- Negotiation and job awarding management, e.g.:
- Determination of the bidders that are invited to the final round of negotiations
- Specification of the target/ strategy for the negotiation by agreement with the project leader and HUB leader
- Completion of awarding negotiations as well as the documentation of the negotiation results
- Preparation of an awarding proposition/ an awarding decision after agreement by the OMV project leader and HUB leader
- Monthly project reporting
- Cooperation to the development of propositions and approaches to the implementation of changes both within and outside the group
- Motivation, coordination and leadership of project teams
- Opening up new areas of supply, new trends and new technologies also under strategic aspects
- Enforcement of Claim Management
The ideal candidate for this position will answer to the following requirements:
- Several years of verifiable successful activity in the procurement of materials and services that are similar with regard to the content or the organization of the suppliers;
- Experience in collaboration to projects and project management;
- Knowledge of all relevant possibilities of IT application.
- Availability for business travel within the group and to the according supply markets;
- Languages: Romanian, English (German advantageous)
