- Contracts administration and quantity surveying activities included monthly progress evaluation and reporting of planning data, invoicing, final account measurement and cost reporting. weekly reporting of physical progress, production of man hour reports, and the updating of the computer planning systems
- Involved in pre bid commercial review of contracts, negotiation of contract terms and conditions, insurance and risk assessment and legal interpretation of legal issues
- Activities included preparation of Bills of Quantity from design drawings, preparation of contract specifications and Tender documents.
- English language – very good.
- The job holder must have degree in an engineering discipline and be a Chartered Engineer. Not less than 10 years experience in industry with contract coordination and administration.
- A highly experienced Commercial and Contracts Manager with a substantial track record in strategic procurement, commercial, financial, claims and legal procedures as well as proposals, contracts formulation, negotiation and administration on major projects in the building, civil engineering, water and process industries.
- Extensive experience of procuring and managing contracts with responsibility for developing winning contracting strategy and tactics and for achieving completion of work within schedule and budget as well as the commercial activities associated with contracts. - Has significant involvement in contractual and insurance claims and litigation.
