Our client is a leading multinational company in defence & communications industry.
General:
- Responsible for establishing and qualifying the Integrated Subsystem architecture of the project defined site types, along with the related documentation and engineering review criteria. The jobholder reports directly to the ISS Engineering Manager.
- The ISS Architect is the ultimate ISS Engineering authority in charge of the ISS site design validation for the project replica.
- The role involves coordinating the activity chain spanning from design elaboration to inspection procedures validation and qualification.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of the Technical Project ISS for each subsystem related to site types defined within project
- Technical perspective analysis of the configuration data and inspection procedures received from the subsystems
- Ensure completeness and consistency in terms of interfaces, functionality and configuration data
- Elaborate from a System viewpoint an overall engineering site design for the project represented sites
- Identify the appropriate techniques, guidelines and methods to identify gaps and omissions within the ISS site design
- Set up site related configuration guidelines. Ratify the Master Configuration templates per equipment and per site type
- Output validated configuration templates for each equipment/subsystem per each site type
- Elaborate site specific inspection procedure and test practices based on the site type definition
- Validate and qualify the Detailed Interface document via integration and functional testing
- Generate Test Plans for System Verification and Final Validation
- Contribute to the development and implementation of scenario test cases meant to determine the System behaviour under various factors and conditions
- Make up and endorse performance criteria and KPI for the Engineering established review milestones: CDR, SVR, SVA
- In charge of scheduling, prepare documentation, meet the entry criteria and successfully perform the project enforced quality gates: design, verification and validation reviews
- Support other project related entities (i.e. ISS Rollout, ILS) with reliable data and know-how transfer
- Secure alignment of the DCS System Engineering practices and ensure implementation within project
- Manage and solve out technical and administrative constraints. Implement and coordinate corrective /preventive actions
- Ensure in-time and in-budget completion of all ISS Engineering/Architecture activities
- Perform risk analysis on issued site design as well as on planned and executed tests. Plan risk response; monitor and control risks
- Single authority and PoC for all design/configuration topics related to project topology
- Following the rules of dealing with classified materials
Education:
B.Sc/M.Sc degree in IT/Electrical Engineering/ Physics or comparable engineering discipline.
Practical experience:
5+ years experience in System Design, Architectural Frameworks
Large System Integration projects
¿¿ Working in complex system environment (networks implemenation/integration/migration)
Quality Assurance methodologies background
Test experience in large project/program.
Experience in managing people and external deliverables.
Sound technical background in networking and datacomm area.
