We are looking for a Platform specialist with focus on maintaining in-house developed Java web applications on both Windows and Linux.
You will work in a team of very competent colleges with the responsibility to maintain and administrate IBX applications.
You will start off with an introduction to get knowledge of the processes and the systems used to host applications for our different business areas. In the beginning you will work with problem solving and regular daily maintenance of applications which will let you develop a comprehensive knowledge of the application flows, supporting systems and problem areas. After about 3 months you will get your own projects where you work proactively to change the environment and prevent future incidents.
Our work is mainly based on ITIL and you will work close to the different process owners as well as the development team and service desk.
The main responsibilities are:
-Daily maintenance of applications and application components
-Handling incidents and problems escalated from service desk and other departments
-Lead projects to proactively ensure high availability of the applications
-Perform trend analysis to prevent outages in applications
-Document applications and develop processes for daily maintenance
-Plan and carry out deployments of new functionality and bug fixes
-Act as team member in the development of new functionality for applications
-You have at least 5 years experience in working in a support or maintenance organization with focus on web applications based on Java
-You have at least 5 years experience in working with both Windows and Linux based systems
-You have good knowledge of Windows server and related products
-You have experience in Linux administration
-You have good knowledge of TCP/IP, internet and the usage of different protocols
-You have good knowledge in maintaining and administrating Jboss application server
-You have some experience in Java
-It¿¿¿s an advantage if you have knowledge of SQL Server
-It¿¿¿s a merit of you have previous experience in project management
-It¿¿s a merit if you have programming or script development skills
-As a person you are motivated with high ambitions as well as structured and team oriented
-You have excellent English and presentation skills
