Job Title: Planning Engineer
Department: Planning and Control Department
Location: Bucharest / Romania
Reports to: Project Control Manager
Working Conditions: office / with possible short missions in site

Purpose: - providing information and guidance to ensure the productive and timely completion of the project through the preparation, coordination and continuous up-dating of an overall program for the site construction work.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
¿ to be responsible for contributing information and guidance to ensure the productive and
timely completion of the project through the preparation, coordination and continuous
up-dating of an overall program for the site construction work.
¿ the study and assessment of target dates for the project and shall be completely familiar
with the work and the parameters of the work program. Ensuring that all programmed
activities have man hour contents in line with Company Procedures
¿ the review of existing material and equipment schedules and obtain updated delivery
information from the relevant departments
¿ assisting the Resident Site Manager and the Construction Superintendent in the preparation
of the construction plan
¿ preparing the site plan consistent with the requirements and availability of the drawings,
specifications, target dates and definitive estimate
¿ ensuring that all staff and subcontractors are made aware of the site plan and appreciate
the part they will need to play in its implementation
¿ progress meetings and report on the current situation and shall note all changes in the
forward plans and any restrictions on progress
¿ recording works additional to the original requirements and all variations and
revisions which must be incorporated in the site plan and informing the appropriate staff and
subcontractors of any changes to their workload and any alterations to the targets previously set
¿ the review of, and agreement with, Subcontractors programs to ensure compatibility with
project requirements
¿ prepare man-hour criteria for all activities i.e. histogram. Mark-up drawings weekly to assess
progress to man-hours


CERINTE

The job holder must have

¿ Engineering/Technical qualification
¿ minimum of 3 years experience in planning of construction projects
¿ experience in the same role on major projects would be a plus
¿ Experience in preparing and executing control procedures for both cost and planning
¿ Experience in Project start-up sequence and logic planning
Required Competencies:
The job holder must have proven:
¿ fluent in both written and spoken English language
¿ capable in using specific PC software and previous experience with Primavera, Microsoft Project
including Microsoft suite e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
¿ Familiar with the requirements and structure of Integrated Planning.
