BirdviewMobile is searching for experienced WordPress enthusiast. Main focus is on php and mysql based technologies for creating themes and plugins using fancy jQuery features. Skills in other programming languages and techniques are a clear plus point.
You will work in a strong team that is developing browser-based applications mostly realized in php and mysql with intense use of newest JavaScript libraries and features for mobile devices.
What we are looking for:
Competent and innovative PHP developers with extensive experience in creating or modifying functionalities in backend and frontend, and in implementing and adapting the design for mobile devices.
Mandatory Skills are:
Development and maintenance of WordPress websites / multisites (design using css3, html5, plugins and features):
Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions
Creation of custom post types, page templates
Creation of plugins/widgets written to conform with the WordPress coding standards
Theme/Template integration
Knowledge on WordPress Multisite would be a plus
Experience in internationalization
Creation of clean, logical, well-documented and re-usable code
Knowledge of caching system (memcached and APC)
Planning and realizing cross-browser experience for all applications (Android, iPhone, iPad, Desktop Browsers)
Deep knowledge of JavaScript based frameworks like jQuery or Ajax
Organized development and deployment workflow from concept till launch of a features or a projects
Knowledge of OOP concept would be a plus
Project / Feature Examples:
Development and improvement of content delivery for multiple platforms and devices.
Tools and backend components for multisite (multibrand) environments
Portals for different premium content like video, games or dating
Integration of different billing aggregators and location based billing flow adaption
Project improvements regarding to SEO
Internationalization and country specific rollout of products
Scalability and availability on cloud based infrastructure
