Develops products consisting of software parts according to NPD, ECR andany other associated processes;
Maintains legacy products pertaining to business unit;
Plans the work in R&D on a continuous basis according to business priorities;
Provides visibility in technical options and capabilities;
Ensures that staff are developed according to needs;
Conducts Personnel Appraisal Dialogues with direct reports;
Ensures that Cross Site and outsourced R&D is performed effectively;
Manages dependencies with other organizational units;
Answers questions relating to the area of responsibilities;
Maintains expenses within agreed project budgets;
Maintains Resource plans to enable analysis of project change impact;
Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle:
requirements analysis, software architecture, detailed designs
implementation, debugging and unit testing.
A degree in Computer Science or a related field;
Extensive experience developing web applications;
Strong data structure and design skills;
Previous experience working on a production, high-traffic web site;
Knowledge of web standards like XHTML, CSS and Javascript (including
frameworks like jQuery and YUI);
Knowledge of and experience with the latest back and front-end
technologies, CSS 3.0, HTML 5;
A good understanding of Object Oriented Software development
methodologies with experience in building multi-tiered web based
applications;
Solid knowledge of SEO
