Main Purpose of the job
This role is accountable for operating, maintaining & updating the global Quality Assurance testing application "QA Compliance Suite". The QA Compliance Suite application is a Business Premium service and globally used inside Vodafone.
The QA Developer role is also responsible for the User Management of the QA tool. Key accountability is also on the release planning and coordination of release management work packages. Creation and preparation of regular reports will be done by this role on request. Reports typically contain information on time & quantity on the QA process.
This role will need to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements for the tool implementation.
QA Frontend & Scripting developers will closely cooperate and will need to substitute each other on critical parts of the application. Application Integration (interfaces) are key for the overall tool development and require regular exchanges with various stakeholders inside Vodafone (e.g. Security, Server Mgmt, Database Mgmt, Backup, Monitoring). This role will need to ensure the quality, stability & further improvement of the QA tool.

Responsibilities
Perform, accordingly with operational, architectural, security and compliance standards, QA acceptance tests on all IT-infrastructure components and non-technical service components needed for the implementation of new & decommissioned services.
• Ability to follow the rapidly changing technology environment and standards inside Group Technology. Updates on operational, architectural, security and compliance standards are continuously tested and adopted as new QA standards to support Group Technology with the more recent and efficient standards available.
• Request correction activities from Build and Delivery.
• Provide consulting to customers of QA.
• Lead in professional competence and give direction in developing the teams expertise.

Education: Academic level
Experience, Skills & Competencies:
• Fluent in English (C1 or B2)
• Experience in a multinational environment
• Reliable: resilient, takes personal responsibility
• Overall / in general: long-term DC experience
• Proven expertise in SW development and testing and SW release management
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Programming languages:
• extensive knowledge of PHP
• good knowledge of ksh/bash-shell and Perl
• very good knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL Used tools: sqlplus, sqldeveloper
Technologies:
• Webservices (REST, SOAP)
• sqlplus, mysql
Web technologies:
• HTML, CSS
• Javascript cosmos e.g. jquery, json
• Apache configuration
• Framework Symfony (vendors zend, doctrine, twig, ...)
