Wireless Mobile department with FREESCALE SEMICONDUCTOR ROMANIA develops leading software solutions and advanced embedded design tools for Freescale’s 3G cellular platforms.
Software Engineer – works on advanced host and embedded applications for celular chipset bring-up and validation.
working location in Romania, relocation not provided.
Being part of an enthusiastic, fast growing team in Romania, you will work closely with colleagues in Europe and US and you will be involved in:
-Code development
-Specification definition
-Cellular chipset bring-up and validation
-University degree, preferable in Computer Science, Automation, Electronics.
-Experience in C/C++ development and Assembly language.
-Experience in embedded applications.
-Knowledge of architecture of microprocessors and peripherals.
-Knowledge of software configuration management, preferable ClearCase.
-Knowledge of methodologies and approaches in application development and testing.
-Spoken and written English.
Experience on some of the following would be a plus:
-Knowledge of LabView, LabWindows CVI.
-Experience in equipment control.
-Operating systems fundamentals, device drivers, multiprocess/multithreaded applications.
-Embedded systems software for DSPs, microcontrollers etc.
-Wireless communication protocols (GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS).
-Real-time applications & Real Time operating systems.
