- Understanding the permitting process (number of permits, issuing entities, filling requirements, interdependence between permits, responsibilities for both the issuer and the requester, deadlines, fines, legal and financial implications of permits expiration, non-extension, file incompleteness, legal non-compliance, etc.);
- Keeping permanently updated with the legislation affecting the permitting process;
- Assisting the Legal Permitting Vice-President and Project Manager on creating, updating, monitoring and reporting the permits schedule;
- Offering support in the development of the permitting process (permitting project steps, develop critical path, set deadlines, assign persons in charge, follow up on tasks and report back on completion).
For one of our clients, a multinational company engaged in responsible mining and long-term community development, we are looking for a Permitting Officer.
Requirements:
- Graduate from the engineering / economic school or a last year student;
- Good project management skills;
- Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office, Visio);
- Fluency in English;
- Communication skills;
- Rigorous and balanced, team-player, detail and results-oriented;
- Inventive and flexible, with good organising and planning skills.
