RESPONSABILITATI

Our client is a British/Romanian Hospice dedicated to the palliative care of children with advanced or terminal stage illness. They are seeking a care assistant to work within their medical care team in helping to provide support and specialized medical care both to the patients and their families and to improve the quality of life of the children in the hospice or at their home. You will provide advice and care, according to the hospice¿s philosophy, with emphasis on physical, mental, social and/or spiritual aspects of caring for terminally ill children. You will be capable of identifying and evaluating specific symptoms and problems of an ill child. You will visit the family of the deceased during the mourning period as appropriate, provide support, encouragement and advice to the family throughout the illness, give nursing care to the patients and be responsible for the quality of that care, recommend only prescribed and written treatments given by the pediatric doctor (i.e. dosage, timing, administration of drugs etc) and evaluate each patient¿s dependency levels on a weekly basis. Please note that you will NOT be required to indicate or prescribe any drugs or course of treatment without the pediatric doctor¿s consent. You will be required to ensure that the security and correct usage of sanitary materials/equipment are maintained at all times, follow all the procedures and rules regarding custody and administration of all medicines, evaluate the efficiency of the prescribed medicines and complete the necessary medication in the prescribed limit and inform the hospice doctor/s of any changes in a patients stage of illness which might effect the course of treatment/medication. Other duties involve correct completion of the evidence book, consultation with other team members in resolving difficult problems, responding to emergency requests, record keeping, smooth flow of information from patient to parent, and general day to day nursing activities conforming to your experience.


CERINTE

The candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar nursing/care role. A driving license will be an advantage. You will be expected to actively participate in medical training sessions and to continually perfect your professional knowledge and clinical experience with regard to palliative care. This position is only suitable for those with a born desire to care and provide support to terminally sick children and therefore requires applications from only very special candidates who possess the correct qualifications and experience.


BENEFICII OFERITE

The net salary is in the range of 7,440,000 Lei per month (744 RON).
