Develop test plans and procedures for software products and systems, Install and tune middleware and software products in test environment, Conduct functional / non functional test, Review documentation, Execute manual and automated test cases and scripts, Identify, analyze, and document all programming errors (software bugs), Open and track problem / incident / test defect, Document and validate resolution of identified defects, Be responsible for the analysis, reporting and communication of test results, Assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies.
Mandatory skills:
Software Development Lifecycle
Software Testing methodologies and techniques
Change Management software (especially for defect tracking: Rational ClearQuest, Mercury TestDirector)
Windows Server 2003/2005, UNIX, Linux and/or Solaris environments
Scripting languages skills, ANT skills
IBM DB2 (including SQL syntax)
LDAP
Networking
HTTP application servers (IIS, Apache, WAS)
J2EE platform experience (JVM, exceptions, etc)" Nice to have skills:
