The Oracle Product Support team is seeking a Technical/Application Support Engineer to join the Product Support team. The successful candidate will deliver application, technical and operational support to the Oracle’s CallcenterAnywhere application customers.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Support Engineer, you will be the technical interface to customers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) for resolution of problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use of Oracle products. Your primary task will be to provide support to customers who contact the Oracle Solution Center and maintain high level of customer satisfaction while meeting guidelines (mostly through electronic means). You must be able to work with general guidance from senior support engineers and management and, in some areas, may work independently. Solutions often take time to develop through research, collaboration or problem replication.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Address issues/requests/questions relating to the CallCenterAnywhere application as received from the 1st level support team or directly from end customers via inbound support calls, emails or voice mails.
-Provide technical expertise in proactive monitoring of the CallCenterAnywhere application and diagnosing and resolving application issues.
- Act as a subject matter expert for other Oracle team members fielding and addressing CallCenterAnywhere application issues and questions.
- Develop, document and publish knowledge base content to assist in knowledge sharing and to provide for streamlined issue resolution.


CERINTE

-Technical university degree, i.e. BS Computer Science / Management Information Systems / Science / Engineering / Math / Physics / Chemistry
- 1 year prior working experience with Oracle products, or at least two years related experience without Oracle products
- Prior Tech Support experience in a hosted software application or Call Center application environment
- Familiarity with basic Call Center operations and concepts
- Familiarity with VOIP technology and concepts is a plus
- Familiarity with relational databases including SQL language
- Familiarity with web server technology specifically BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere, IIS
- Familiarity with Intel Dialogic use and troubleshooting is a plus
- Familiarity with basic telecommunications concepts including T1, E1, PBX switches is a plus
- Demonstrated programming skills in at least one of the following (ASP, JSP, C++, JavaScript, PHP) is a plus
- Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, TCPIP, client/server systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003/XP
- Working knowledge of Linux and/or Solaris preferred
- Strong customer service skills and an eagerness to excel and be part of a dynamic, fast growing team
- Strong bias for action and ability to independently evaluate situations and identify best courses of action
- Excellent judgment and the ability to handle escalated situations
- Well developed technical trouble shooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
