RESPONSABILITATI

To manage and resolve Service Requests logged by customers on Oracle products and contribute to proactive support activities according to product support strategy and model;
Working towards, adopting and contributing to new processes and tools (Oracle Web Conferencing, diagnostic methodology, scripting tools, etc);
Contributing to Knowledge Management content creation and maintenance;
Participating in Root Cause/Corrective Action activities defined within the product area in order to further enhance the customer experience and improve the Oracle product;
Maintain an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of new products released in the market for the given product area.


CERINTE

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer science, minimum 2 years relevant technical experience;
Previous technical support experience;
Superb trouble-shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent English language skills;
In addition, one of the following sets of technical skills:

1st set (for Core Technologies' competency):
Strong operating systems knowledge (Windows XP/2003, UNIX, Linux, etc);
Strong networking knowledge (architecture, administration, security, etc);
Strong database skills (Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Informix, MS SQL Server);
Hands on experience with web servers (Apache, IIS, etc) and HTML;
Experience in supporting client/server applications.

2nd set (for Configuration's competency):
Good programming skills (C/C++, Java) - J2EE development environment experience, Oracle JDeveloper and/or Oracle Application Server is a plus;
Strong database skills (Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Informix, MS SQL Server);
Hands on experience with web servers (Apache, IIS, Tomcat, etc) and HTML;
Experience in supporting client/server applications.

3rd set (for Communication Server & Computer-Telephony Integration's competency):
Siebel experience/certification would be a plus;
CTI Middleware e.g. Genesys or Avaya experience/certification;
Email server administration experience e.g. MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, Sendmail;
Understanding of POP3 and SMTP protocol, MIME encoding, Internet Message standards;
Systems administration experience (NT, UNIX);
Rational database experience Oracle, MS SQL Server;
Basic SQL knowledge.
