You will be responsible for:
- Developing PL/SQL code for stored procedures functions packages types triggers to comply with application functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with Java Developers to develop code at their request.
- Maintain compatibility of the code developed for different platforms / implementations.
- Provide portable code easy to migrate on different RDBMS.
- Work with the Development team on solving the reported issues for product functionality, upgrade, migration and debugging.
- Propose and implement new approach to improve the existing code, and functionality.
- Maintain an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of new product releases and technologies related with his work.
- Inform the direct superior on any important issues which may have impact on functionality.
- Protect the code by providing wrapping methodologies for the production sites.
- Resolving the bugs related to application and RDBMS.
Candidate profile:
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL;
Minimum two years working experience with PL/SQL, SQL scripts;
- SQL tuning, stored program units (procedures, functions, packages, triggers etc);
- Good knowledge of Oracle RDBMS;
- Computer science (or equivalent) degree;
- Good command of English, both written and spoken;
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technology quickly;
- Analytical skills - problem recognition and resolution;
Attention to details;
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines;
- Determination and commitment, team player.
Would be a plus:
Working with Java objects from PL/SQL.
Knowledge of C, C++, Java, JavaScript.
Basic knowledge in operating systems (UNIX, Solaris, Windows etc).
