Currently we are searching suitable candidates for one of our clients, which is a Belgian – Romanian company with offices in Brussels and Bucharest with the main activity of delivering IT services to financial institutions in Romania as well as to several international institutions in Belgium.
For one of the projects in Bucharest, we are currently looking for an Oracle/Java developer with 3 -5 years experience.
Job description:
You will be part of a team of 35 developers who are responsible for the development and maintenance of the core banking system as well as some satellite applications around this core banking system. The applications serve the internal users as well as the employees in the agencies and end-customers. Next to this, there are business intelligence and reporting tools to support the management in their decision making process. To achieve this, the team works closely with business and IT people to understand the business needs and on the other hand to integrate new solutions seamlessly in the bank’s IT-infrastructure.
Tasks:
› Analyze and define, together with the internal users, IT&C solutions as described by the Software Architect,
› Design software modules and their interactions,
› Model database structures in order to develop the application,
› Software coding, using the appropriate programming languages and technologies,
› Prepare functional test cases for the new programs/modules,
› Run the tests according to the plan and apply necessary corrections,
› Develop data migration programs,
› Prepare and maintain the documentation for the developed software.
Technical skills:
› Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably computer science or electronics,
› 3+ years IT experience in developing applications using 3-tier architectures and client/server technologies,
› Experience in using web technologies (J2EE, web services),
› Databases (Oracle/ DB2),
› Experience with IBM integration products: WBI/ Process Server,
› Solid experience with Java, SQL, PL/SQL, APEX,
› Knowledge of Cognos is an asset,
› Experience with modeling languages (UML),
› Good knowledge of application development environments,
› Good understanding of data structures and their implementation.
