Our Client is a $4.1bn global provider of IT Services, Outsourced R&D, Infrastructure Outsourcing, Business Process Services, and Business Consulting. With 25 years in the global delivery of technology services, it is the world’s largest third-party provider of R&D services and the world’s first PCMM and CMM level company.
For its Romania Office we are looking for an OPERATIONS MANAGER, for a new supply BPO project.
Main responsibilities:
To lead and develop a Order Fulfilment Team by ensuring that staff, equipment, services and all relevant resources are available and capable of functioning in accordance with Good Distribution Practice and other company policies hence ensuring that the client is rendered a sterling service in terms of quality, quantity and timeliness.
General Responsibilities:
- To direct, control and motivate the team to maximize performance in all aspects of their role; 90 people through two decisional levels.
- To assess and ensure availability of the human and equipment resources necessary to fulfil the processes leading to the safe dispatch of the consignment.
- To ensure, through optimum utilization of those resources, that products are in fact reconciled with the order document and adequately packed.
- To source out potential ancillary suppliers and plan the relevant procurement of ancillary material in order to ensure its safe delivery and availability prior to their planned production.
- To be capable of planning and carrying out/delegating all necessary preparatory work in the desired quality and quantity (Carton boxes, ice packs, envelopes, bubble wrap etc).
- To ensure that all processing operations are performed in accordance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) by ensuring, that all staff under command are properly trained to perform their tasks and undertake their responsibilities.
- To analyse process (equipment and human resource evaluation) in order to identify opportunities for further cost reduction through continuous improvement activity.
- To ensure sound and appropriate communication with customer(s) at all times. The necessary follow-up through emails, telephones and faxes is solicited. It is imperative that customer is given the necessary feedback immediately in order to guarantee satisfaction.
- To order ancillary material after careful liaison with other members of the team. Provision of specific details to the supplier is essential to ensure the right product delivery.
Ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- Perfect knowledge of verbal and written English and a second European language
- University degree;
- Over 5 years experience in BPO/ logistic / purchasing, management project
- Experience of leading a big team
- Strong operational experience;
- Strong Customer Support skills;
- Strong Communication & Interpersonal skills
- Strong Organization/administration skills
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under stress.
