We are searching for a
Operations Engineer
in our Bucharest-based Software Development Hosting team.
What will you do?
You will. . .
. . . You will support our Operations Team in the Software Development Hosting field by providing low-level support for our hosting products in projects and operations.
. . . You will join us in ensuring trouble-free operation of our services, processes and applications, and collaborate in monitoring and maintaining our work flows and systems. They comprises software components in the hosting area
. . . You will handle tickets from international 2nd Level Support, answer questions concerning ongoing operations, remedy faults, and support our engineering departments in identifying and implementing solutions. To achieve this, you will collaborate with our development departments, system administrators and external partners.
. . . Your tasks also include application deployment, maintenance of data in various databases, system configuration, cooperation in planning, design and tests, as well as fault management and documentation.
. . . You will contribute the knowledge that you gain from daily operations, and your insight into the existing work flows to the development of new processes for internal work flows or the implementation of new products, thus supporting product management and product development.
. . . You will perform research or collect data for further evaluation by our statistics departments. If the need arises, you will also program tools to support daily work in the monitoring or evaluation scope.
And, most of all, you will be a part of our young and dynamic team.
If you have/are. . .
. . . You will be familiar with the Linux environment, but can also handle Office applications, and have technical know-how relating to scripting languages (perl, php) and some initial experience in Java programming.
. . . You have a good command of SQL (mysql, Sybase), XML and HTML. And you are also familiar with apache/tomcat, maven, ant, DNS and SOAP.
. . . Because you will have regular dealings with colleagues and partners abroad, you have a good working knowledge of written and spoken English.
. . . You possess analytic skills, are quick to grasp situations and willing to learn. Your working style is characterized by an autonomous, diligent, reliable and target-oriented approach.
. . . You enjoy a communicative position and like working in a team. You assess your work by reference to our continual quality improvement and customer satisfaction.
. . . Ideally, you will possess some job experience in IT operations and infrastructure, or technical support, and can contribute your experience on the topic of transfer of operations and/or ITIL to our team, which is currently being established.
. . . You are capable of autonomously mastering new aspects of your work, and are prepared to collect, document and disseminate to colleagues the information required to do so.
