The Project Manager is supervising a project support team being composed of helpdesk, service and maintenance specialists, SW developers, supply chain, quality, finance and admin staff. • Accomplishes human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
• Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
• Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Keep permanent contact with the project partners – customers, end users, suppliers – in order to monitor the level of satisfaction, get feedback on the service quality and identify new business opportunities for the Company.
• Prepares and estimates technical and financial offers, prepares Addendums to the main contract, negotiate contractual obligations.
• Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
An engineering or IT university qualification.
Strong familiarity with complex systems from a project management or account management perspective
Experience with mechanical/technical infrastructure projects with a large IT component
7+ years of operational management or project management experience is essential
Experience in budget management and human resource management
Fluent in English (both written and verbal)Excellent MS Office skills and abilities, including MS Project
Evidence of excellent Romanian writing skills used in technical and business documents
Essential:
5+ years of medium sized team management, with experience in prioritization of activities, managing customer expectations, setting objectives, running annual evaluations, etc.
Experience in working with dotted line reporting lines (i.e. having multiple supervisors)
Senior account management experience requiring the "gravitas" to manage multiple stakeholders
Initiative, discipline and rigor when dealing with customer related requests
Well-developed commercial negotiation skills
Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with a focus on details
Desirable:
Experience working with government/state owned organisations
Experience working in a large multinational organisation
