The perfect candidate will lead a team of 3 – 6 engineers to develop the next generation of safety-critical operating system platform for the Thales Group. The development will be performed in a professional environment in close co-operation with experts in Austria and Germany.
The perfect candidate has strong LINUX knowledge (kernel and application development), has critical thinking and attention to detail, works well autonomously and is proactive and a good communicator. Main tasks / responsibilities are:
• Design, Implementation and Unit test (manual and automated test cases)
• Application maintenance and bug fixing
• Documentation
• Regular progress reporting
• Tasks and resources management (including task assignment, monitoring progress and managing risks)
• Inspiring and mentoring the team; coaching other team members
Education:
• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Requested technical competences:
• Very good understanding of the LINUX Kernel concepts and experience in writing kernel code
• Previous experience in LINUX Driver Development
• Expert in C programming
• Basic knowledge in one or more scripting languages
• Very good knowledge of the POSIX API
